Sikinos: An island that knows how to have a good time.

The island is full of trails: some easy, some of moderate difficulty and other very demanding. At our office, find the best, most detailed hiking map of Sikinos, by Anavassi Publications, including many useful tips.

Seven of the island’s trails are in a signaling phase.

The paths lead to Byzantine chapels, the Roman Mausoleum of Episkopi, slopes overlooking the endless blue, small beaches or rocky parts that have no other road access.

Since ancient times, the island’s vineyards have been renowned for producing the famous local wine of the highest quality.

You can watch the traditional wine-making process revived at Manalis’ Winery.

There, you can taste the Cycladic varieties, cultivated in an organic vineyard, producing three excellent wine varieties and tsipouro.

Along the southern side of the island there are small bays accessible by trails, by boat departing from Alopronia or, alternatively, by private boat.

Malta and Karras are small pebbled beaches, while Agios Panteleimonas, Santoriniika and Agios Ioannis are rocky coves.

On the northern side of the island, there is the bay of Agios Eleftherios, reachable either by private boat or by a demanding trail with a difficult descent.

We recommend that you have water, food and umbrellas with you.

The three most popular beaches of the island are accessible by car. They all offer free municipal umbrellas.
